In the stunning Italian Alps, we embarked on a project to design a private residential house that combines modern living with environmental sensitivity. Our vision sought to fuse architecture with the natural landscape, which features terraced vineyards. The main residence is built using a cross-laminated timber structure, carefully adhering to passive house standards.

Station House

CIAO has received planning permission for a mixed-use development for the creation of six flats and one commercial unit on a narrow site in Harrow.

The project's distinctiveness lies in its role as infill development, thoughtfully situated within the rear car park of an existing commercial structure. The site's challenging dimensions and close proximity to neighbouring buildings prompted a design approach that focused on optimizing massing and openings to minimise any potential disruption to the privacy and daylight accessibility of the adjacent property.

Our commitment to both aesthetic and functional considerations is reflected in the carefully selected palette of materials for the external surfaces. This includes the use of pale grey bricks, pre-cast concrete, and aluminium frame windows, which not only harmonize with the existing architectural fabric but also infuse a contemporary touch. The recognition of our efforts has been further underscored by the feature of this project in the Architects Journal, a testament to our dedication to creating spaces that merge seamlessly with their surroundings while providing a distinctive contribution to the architectural landscape. This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to innovative and community-conscious design solutions.
