The project pursues two goals: creating a building with strong cultural and educational value, and designing an innovative learning environment with flexible spaces that support new teaching methods.
The school forms a deep connection with its surroundings, blending learning spaces into the local landscape. Open, accessible areas make the complex a true community hub, encouraging interaction between the school and the wider territory.
Key shared facilities — the auditorium, sports centre and library with its central agora — are designed for use beyond school hours, ensuring the building remains active, welcoming and inclusive.

A new cycle–pedestrian path runs along the site, improving accessibility and promoting sustainable mobility, while also linking the school seamlessly to the urban fabric. Additional parking areas and new green public spaces create continuity with the nearby “P. Verri” school, connected safely through a protected pedestrian crossing.
Architecturally, the new primary school is striking yet harmonious. Clean geometric volumes, abundant natural light and a transparent, welcoming entrance create a contemporary and inviting atmosphere. Flexible, tech-enabled classrooms with movable furniture support collaborative and dynamic teaching.
Integrated with both the built and natural context, the school’s green spaces and educational gardens offer children the opportunity to learn outdoors and develop a direct connection with nature.
