MEET THE BRAINS BEHIND THE BRICKS

Diego Dalpra

Diego is a passionate architect and co-founder of CIAO (2016), with experience at award-winning NEU Architects. He takes a hands-on role in leading the London office and, as Sustainability Lead trained in Passive House design, brings meticulous detail to high-end residential projects while shaping CIAO’s international growth.

Alessandro Penna

Alessandro co-founded CIAO in 2016 with Diego Dalpra, after working at Ash Sakula and Douglas & King Architects on medium-scale residential and mixed-use projects. At CIAO, he leads multimillion-pound developments and private homes from concept to completion. With extensive experience across all project stages, strong detailing skills, and a deep understanding of planning and building regulations, Alessandro excels in project delivery and client management.

Laurarosa Puzzoni

Laura joined CIAO in 2022 after working as an architect in Italy, Spain, and the UK on residential, educational, and research projects, including the Venice Architecture Biennale. With degrees in Urban Planning and Architecture, she is passionate about how cities, public spaces, and buildings shape people’s lives. Outside work, she enjoys pottery and experimenting with materials and colour.

Dario Caccamisi

Dario joined CIAO in 2022 after completing his Master’s at PoliMI and has been an OAMI-registered architect since 2023. With experience in Milanese studios and time in London, he brings an open, contemporary approach, combining research and experimentation with innovative materials. Passionate about cooking, wine, travel and sport, he works with enthusiasm, precision, and a drive for inventive solutions.

Ana Garcia Diaz

Ana joined CIAO’s London team in 2025, bringing experience from Spanish and UK practices. A registered architect since 2017, she studied at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and began her career in Salamanca before moving to London to focus on technically detailed, context-sensitive residential design. Outside work, she finds inspiration in culture, the city, and her travels.

Ioana Berlan

Ioana joined CIAO’s Milan office in 2024 after studying architecture in Iași, with a formative year in Turin working on interior and urban projects. Outside work, she enjoys contemporary media, comedy, cinema, the arts, yoga and exploring new places and cuisines.
